Thalassemia Awareness Camp
“Every Drop of Blood is a Gift of Life.”
Sadhu Vaswani International School, Sanpada, in association with the Rotary Club of Navi Mumbai Airport City and Rotary Club of Thane East, organised an enlightening Thalassemia Awareness Session followed by a Guided Educational Tour of Triumph Blood Bank.
The programme sensitised students about:
* Understanding Thalassemia – its causes, challenges and treatment.
* The critical role of voluntary blood donation in saving the lives of Thalassemia patients who require regular blood transfusions.
* An informative guided tour of Triumph Blood Bank, where students visited various departments and learned about blood collection, testing, processing, storage and distribution, gaining first-hand knowledge of modern blood banking practices.
The programme successfully created awareness among young minds about Thalassemia, inspired them to appreciate the noble cause of voluntary blood donation, and encouraged them to become responsible citizens committed to
